On Wednesday, 41-year-old Charles Thomas Boyd De Freitas, an associate principal at Hoover High School in City Heights, was jailed on suspicion of possessing and distributing child pornography, police said.

In a press release, the SDPD Sex Crimes Unit said it immediately began its investigation when the victim reported the assault on July 31, 2023.

Arraignment is scheduled for Friday, March 22 at 1:30 p.m. in Department 101 of the San Diego Superior Court.

The SDPD is requesting anyone with information regarding this incident or who believes they know or are the victim of a similar assault should call the SDPD Sex Crimes Unit at (619) 531-2210 or Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477.  (With CNS report)
