Tip: Skip the lunch rush by mobile ordering or going to the booths earlier or during off-peak hours. Sip and Savor Pass is also a must-have, giving you six pull-off tabs you can trade for a food item or drinks at the Lunar New Year marketplaces (Disneyland will announce the updated prices soon).

Meet the new Disney characters

Familiar with Disney Pixar’s film “Turning Red”? Meilin Lee and mom Ming Lee are ready to cheer up the area between Paradise Gardens Park and Grizzly Peak — with Meilin also in her red panda form.

And they’re not the only Disney stars gracing DisneyCalifornia Adventure’s streets. Mulan, Mushu and a slew of your favorite characters will be present — all dressed in their Lunar best.

The Lunar New Year celebration will also glam up the park with a procession of lights with music, dance and performers in stunning costumes. It won’t be complete with a Chinese dragon and Mickey and Minnie joining in the fun.

Returning this year for the Lunar New Year is the “World of Color – ONE” by Pandora, a light spectacular you don’t want to miss.

Dozens of fun for the whole family

Disneyland California welcomes this Lunar New Year not just with food and spectacular shows. Extend your good luck at their Lucky Wishing Wall or strike a pose at their special photo pavilion designed with peach and bamboo blossoms.

Kids can get ready to unleash their creativity and explore Chinese calligraphy, face painting and dragon’s pearl coloring — all happening at The Little Mermaid attraction.

Trinkets and Disneyland Lunar New Year novelties can also be purchased at the park in selected stores. Choose from stainless steel tumbler or lotus flower glow cube and more for your souvenirs.

Whether it’s an Asian food crawl, snapping selfies with the new characters or just enjoying the Lunar New Year, the most magical place on Earth, Disney California Adventure sure knows how to throw a great bash.
