A Denise Julia music video? Bretman Rock wants to be part of it
After her smash hit “NVMD” in 2022, Denise Julia’s “B.A.D.” (in collaboration with Filipino-American rapper P-Lo) has taken the throne of the Song Blasting Everywhere—it recently even went past Juan Karlos’ “ERE” in the Apple Music PH chart. Listeners continue to rave about her “Sweet Nothings (Chapter 1)” EP, which packs a sweet and sensual R&B-hiphop soundscape, exploring vulnerability, sexuality, and uncertainties in romantic relationships.
Well, it looks like you’re not the only one with the same listening rotation. Denise Julia, who’s been described a “baddie” by her followers, has been vouched by another famous baddie, a.k.a. Bretman Rock.
The Filipino singer-songwriter took to X (formerly Twitter) her excitement over her recent interaction with the Filipino-American internet star. “Do [you] ever just die,” she captioned featuring a screenshot of her conversation with the “You’re That Bitch: And Other Lessons About Being Unapologetically Yourself” author on Instagram DMs.
“Bitch I’m like actually obsessed with you,” said Bretman. “If you need a bad bitch for a music video I’m pulling tf up.” To which Denise Julia responded, “[Are you] kidding me.”

One of the R&B songstress’ latest music videos, “B.A.D.,” features well-loved personalities like Filipino drag star Marina Summers and young rap virtuoso Alex Bruce.
Aside from being down to appear in a music video, Bretman also seemingly volunteered to contribute in the vocals department. In a separate post by the Gen Z performer on Instagram, the social media personality left a comment: “Girl if you need vocals… I gots you too.”
The post, which is captioned “The world deserves a Bretman x Deej cuntressy service yes please [anyway I’m] actually dying,” features the two Filipino personalities’ interactions. These include Bretman Rock’s clips doing skin care while playing Aespa Giselle-approved “B.A.D.” and “Lackin’” in the background. These clips prompted the Instagram DM exchange.
