“We are humbled and honored to be celebrated this year among the finest,” the caption reads. “Thankful to all those who supported us since day 1 and who continuously support and love us all the way. Thanks to our small but mighty KL Team for making this happen.”

What made Filipino restaurant Kuya Lord proudly Filipino is that their dishes are inspired by Southern Tagalog cooking using only the freshest seasonal ingredients.

Their specialty? “Lucenachon”—their version of Filipino-style pork belly stuffed with lemongrass and fennel fronds or blue prawns simmered in garlicky crab paste.

Recently, it was also included in the 25 best restaurants in Los Angeles by the New York Times.
