Billie Eilish, Finneas O’Connell to receive Chairman’s Award in Palm Springs
PALM SPRINGS – Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas O’Connell will receive the Chairman’s Award next year at the Palm Springs International Film Festival for their song “What Was I Made For?” which is in the movie “Barbie.”
“Billie and Finneas, with their unparalleled talent, have created a beautiful and ethereal ballad that perfectly evokes the poignancy of the journey Margot Robbie‘s Barbie takes in the film,” Festival Chairman Nachhattar Singh Chandi said in a statement.
“The Palm Springs International Film Festival proudly honors these visionary artists for their award-worthy musical contribution.”
The award will be presented to the siblings, Eilish and O’Connell, on Jan. 4 at the Palm Springs Convention Center, according to festival officials.

Eilish is the youngest artist at the 62nd Grammy Awards to receive nominations and win all the major categories including Best New Artist, Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album.
O’Connell’s success with Eilish includes eight Grammy Awards, headline sets at Coachella and Glastonbury, an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award.
