Filipinos Advancing Creative Education launches Holiday Festival Tour
LOS ANGELES – The nonprofit Filipinos Advancing Creative Education (FACE) has expanded its annual holiday toy drive. Now in its third year, the event has been relaunched as a Holiday Festival Tour.
FACE will host the Holiday Festival Tour in different locations in December. Venues are located in Seattle, New York, Los Angeles, San Diego and San Jose, California. Organizers said they were inspired by Christmas being the “longest party of all” in the Philippines.
“FACE Holiday Festival Tour aims to bring that very same essence of joy and giving throughout the country during the month of December,” said FACE Executive Director and founder Lyle del Mundo.
Expanding the drive into a tour aims to spread the joy of the season, increasing its reach to five distinct Filipino cultural districts around the country.
The organization hopes the toy drive will continue to inspire others and foster community connections by involving numerous Filipino and Asian talents in entertainment.
Fil-Am celebrities
Many Filipino American celebrities took part in the first two drives. They included Simu Liu, Saweetie, Bretman Rock, Bella Poarch, Patrick Starrr, Josh Dela Cruz, Arianny Celeste, Mike Becker, Paris Berelc, Vincent Rodriguez III, Roshon Fegan, Eric Bauza, Ruby Ibarra, The Filharmonic, Kiana V, AJ & Alyssa Rafael, The Basco Family, Mond Guiterrez, Tiana Kocher, Jules Aurora and Travis Atreo.
