Fil-Am mayor of Bergenfield, NJ reelected for another term
Filipino-American immigration lawyer Arvin Amatorio has successfully secured his reelection as mayor of Bergenfield, New Jersey, following an opposition-free victory in the Nov 7. polls.
Armed with a law degree from San Sebastián College and a background in economics from Colegio de San Juan De Letran, the Baler, Aurora native moved to the United States in 2002 and passed the New York Bar Examination in February 2006.
Expressing his joy and gratitude, Mayor Amatorio took to Facebook to thank everyone. “Huge Win! From the bottom of my heart and my entire team, thank you so much Bergenfield.”
Amatorio recently completed the first phase of a community enhancement project in Bergenfield, which involved the installation of lights in Vivyen Field to extend its usability into the evening. The second phase aims to transform the old parking lot into a volleyball and basketball court, with plans to relocate the parking lot to a different area.
As Bergenfield welcomes the continuation of Mayor Amatorio’s leadership, his triumph at the polls marks not only a personal achievement but also a clear demonstration of the community’s support. The reelected mayor stands poised to guide Bergenfield into a future defined by unity, growth, and positive transformation.
