Filipina actress bags special award at Miss Swimsuit USA Int’l 2023
After gaining attention for her acting performance opposite Jericho Rosales in the film “Basurero” and winning the award for the Best Global Film at last year’s Auntyland Film Festival in New York, Filipina actress Althea Vega has embarked on another international venture. This time, she’s not participating as an actress but as a model.
With over a decade of experience in the industry and having appeared in more than 30 films and television shows, Vega achieved another feat by securing the Director’s Award at the Miss Swimsuit USA International Model Search 2023.
Representing Metro Manila, Philippines, the actress took to Instagram and expressed her gratitude for the recognition. Her caption reads, “What an incredible adventure to be on stage in Mexico, and thank you to all the beautiful new people that I met here. I hope we continue collaborating, and I am excited and driven for the new journey.”
