In a raw and deeply emotional episode of the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, Bella Poarch, the Filipino-American TikTok sensation known for her viral videos, opens up about her divorce, a revelation that shocked fans when it came to light almost a year ago.
Poarch’s love story started while she was in military service. “I also met a guy in the military, and that guy is my ex-husband. We were together for seven years,” she says about their early days. “When I met him, we were both 19 and we were both very introverted. As soon as we saw each other, we kinda fell in love. It was love at first sight, it was funny.”
The proposal came just months into their relationship during a picturesque moment on a beach in Guam. “He proposed to me months after we started dating,” Poarch recalls. “At that time, he didn’t have enough money for a ring, so he got me a necklace.”
As Poarch’s TikTok fame skyrocketed, their relationship faced some bumps on the road.”TikTok happened, and he didn’t want to be in the spotlight. I respect that though.”
In her heartfelt revelations, Poarch bared the struggles of juggling her personal dreams and her relationship.

Amid rumors of Poarch cheating on her ex-husband and public scrutiny post-divorce, she firmly states, “We’re divorced, but we’re on good terms. It was a mutual decision.”
Poarch went on to share a sweet tidbit about their wedding, too. “We got married in Hawaii. I remember the wedding night; I had to deposit $100 to the hotel, so we had $0 that night. We didn’t get to eat dinner, but we were married and we were so happy. We were just so broke, we were young, dumb, and broke.”
