With murders and awakening of the dead, the trailer teases a horrific transformation of the initial setting into a terrifying landscape.

On his Instagram, the television and movie actor posted the 36-second first look into the film with a caption, “This 2023, let’s immerse into a terrifying story that spans centuries.”

Directed by Derick Cabrido, the horror film takes its inspiration from the pages of history, drawing upon the actual events surrounding Catholic priest Juan Severino Mallari, whose name became synonymous with terror in the 1800s.

As the first and only recorded serial killer in the country, Mallari stands as a haunting figure in the Philippines. The priest was hanged for the murder of 57 residents within his parish in Magalang, Pampanga.

Joining the horrors soon in Philippine cinemas are JC Santos, Janella Salvador, Elisse Joson, Gloria Diaz, and Mylene Dizon.
