Adoboink is happy to share Filipino flavors in Roseville, California
Located at 1450 Lead Hill Boulevard Ste 140 in Roseville, California, Adoboink is one Pinoy food haven that will take you back home without hopping on a plane.
The restaurant’s goal is to create a place where people can feel the liveliness of Filipino culture through food. As one of the owners, Mayan Monterola, puts it, “We’ve noticed small families, big families, also couples started coming in, younger generation, older generation.”

From catering to a brick and mortar
This culinary journey started as a catering business in 2019 but demand for their food increased. The clamor was so high that Monterola and her husband, whom she also met in the kitchen, took a leap of faith to open their first brick and mortar over the summer.
“In the beginning, we were scared like, ‘How are we going to do this? Can we make it?’ But I’ve seen a lot of people who are very supportive. Filipinos, non-Filipinos—all of them are embracing the culture,” Monterola said in an interview.
Adoboink’s menu has plenty of stars: their fiesta favorite lumpia named “Oompa Lumpia,” their ube waffle “Chuwari-waff” which was featured in Style magazine, and their irresistible “Adobao,” a siopao filled with adobo and veggies that’s perfect for a quick munch.

They also offer Pinoy classics like adobo made with pork and chicken. But their breakfast menu is also a scene-stealer. Growing up in the Philippines, Monterola remembers the hearty breakfasts they share with the whole family.

“We would wake up in the morning, breakfast is set up on the table, always with garlic fries and meat,” she said. “We are big breakfast eaters, also with egg.”

Their Filipino breakfasts equally attract the early birds, especially their in-house longganisa served in meatloaf cuts for their longsilog.
Despite the fact that Filipinos are the second-largest Asian American group in California, Adoboink isn’t just popular among California’s Fil-Am community, it’s also making waves among non-Filipinos.
Proof of which is the heavy interest they’ve experienced in news outlets featuring their restaurant—from Fox 40 to CBS Good News Sacramento.
