Fil-Am artist to debut latest art collection in London
Renowned Filipino-American artist Fatima Ronquillo is set to captivate art enthusiasts in London with her latest collection “Amore: An Ode to Love” at the Dorothy Circus Gallery from Oct. 12 to Nov. 4.
Born in San Fernando, Philippines in 1976, Ronquillo embarked on a journey as a self-taught painter after immigrating to the United States in 1987. She is now based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Her work is heavily influenced by old European masters and the magical realism of Latin American traditions, notably the late Fernando Botero.
Ronquillo’s upcoming solo exhibit in London will feature five new artworks, each a testament to her mastery of classical inspiration, enchanting imagery, and the fusion of cultural traditions. Love takes center stage in this collection, drawing inspiration from the works of literary giants William Shakespeare, Oscar Wilde, Edmund Spenser, and Hafez.
