Fil-Am rapper P-Lo continues to make waves in the int’l music scene
With a unique blend of musical influences, a commitment to authenticity, and a dedication to his heritage, P-Lo is not just creating music—he’s also pushing culture forward.
After coming back with his new song “Talkin Bout” on Sept. 2, Filipino-American rapper P-Lo stands out with his signature hyphy sound in the ever-evolving landscape of music and culture.
He recently took to the Santa Anita Park stage where he delivered his electrifying Bay Area-style hip-hop performance as part of the “That Feeling When” Festival, presented by MYX and 626 Night Market.
Aside from P-Lo, the festival featured an all-Asian lineup that included Filipino-American artists Melissa Polinar, Jeremy Passion, and Jessica Domingo.
Earlier this year, the Fil-Am rapper embarked on a US tour in support of his “Stunna” album, during which he also released a deluxe version of the album. P-Lo’s performance at the TFW Festival marked the culmination of the tour, where he continued to captivate audiences with his own style and energy.

Born in the Bay Area and raised in a Filipino-American household, P-Lo attributes his early encounters with different genres as the catalyst for his journey in the music industry.
Making the Rolling Stone’s list of Greatest West Coast Hip Hop Songs of All Time, his distinctive musical style is a reflection of his diverse influences.
As he continues to make more music on the global stage, he also utilizes his platform to spread compelling messages. “We just want to keep pushing the culture forward and keep putting on for our people,” he said.
Being known for hits like “Good (feat. Larry June)” and “Put Me on Somethin,’” the rapper also shared how he has prioritized his mental well-being by cutting off “negative energy,” and “whatever it is not helping me grow.”

He recently had the honor of throwing the ceremonial first pitch at the Oakland Athletics’ Philippine Heritage game.
On his Instagram, he wrote: “Rate my pitching form 1-10.”
