Sampaguita ice cream shop scoops up Filipino flavors in Orlando
A recently opened ice cream shop, Sampaguita, delivers Filipino-inspired cold cones and tubs at 1236 E. Colonial Drive in Orlando, Florida
Sampaguita’s co-owner Marie Mercado says the ice cream shop pays homage to Filipino culture and her parents.

In preparation for nearly one year, Sampaguita started with offerings of ice cream, soft cream, halo halo, shakes, sundaes and Vegan options.
Eventually, it will also offer traditional Filipino baked goods from the Mercado family’s recipes — ube cupcakes, silvanas, pan de sal and sans rival.
All of the ice creams and baked goods will be prepared on-premise. \
