All-women Kwento Comics makes splash at San Diego Comic Con
Trailblazing Filipino-American comic book publisher Kwento Comics strutted its stuff at San Diego Comic Con on July 22 at Marriott Marquis San Diego.
Mother and daughter publishing team Cecilia and Waverley Lim promoted their debut graphic novel and the fourth and fifth issues of “The Mask of Haliya” series.
“The Mask of Haliya” is set in the mystical realm of Filipino folklore and follows the epic journey of Marisol “Mari” Reyes as she confronts dark forces and unearths her true destiny.
San Diego Comic Con is the world’s largest gathering of comic book enthusiasts, industry professionals, and pop culture aficionados.

Kwento Comics is the first all-women, all-Asian comic book company highlighting Filipino and Asian mythology through the medium of graphic novels.
