Cardi B Slams Dalai Lama as a ‘Predator’ for Asking Young Boy to ‘Suck His Tongue
Recently, the Dalai Lama caused quite a stir in the media. The spiritual leader reportedly told a young boy at a conference in Rotterdam, Netherlands, to “suck his tongue,” which has sparked outrage and condemnation from many individuals, including rapper Cardi B.
Cardi B, known for her outspoken nature, took to Twitter to express her disgust with the Dalai Lama’s behavior. She called him a “predator” and accused him of using his position of power to take advantage of a child.
Her tweet quickly gained traction on social media, with many people joining the conversation. Taking to social media, the WAP singer said, “This world is full of predators. They target the innocent. The people who are most unknowing, our children.”
She continued, “Predators could be neighbors, our school teachers, even people with money, power, and our churches. Constantly talk to your kids about boundaries and what they should not allow people to do to them.”

Responses to Cardi B’s Comments
However, Cardi B, real name Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar Cephus, faced immediate criticism from numerous individuals who believed her comments had gone too far.
One follower suggested that Cardi should rethink the language she used in her earlier tweet, but Cardi disagreed with this opinion.
She tweeted, “I don’t gotta watch my words…I know exactly what I meant from the time you start potty training your kids, and you should tell them DONT LET anybody touch your privates or enter the bathroom with you, and don’t keep secrets away from mommy …You took one word to try and make debate …DRINK YOUR COFFEE.”

The mother of two expressed her gratitude towards those who supported her comments. She explained that, by chance, she had just been conversing with a friend about the significance of safeguarding children shortly before hearing about the Dalai Lama occurrence.

The Dalai Lama is a revered figure in Tibetan Buddhism and is known for his teachings on compassion and non-violence.
However, his recent statement has left many people questioning his integrity and the validity of his teachings. Some have argued that his behavior does not align with the values he preaches.
During the weekend, video footage of an exchange between the Dalai Lama, regarded as the most revered individual in Tibetan Buddhism, and a young boy at a public gathering in India circulated online.
What Happened?
The incident occurred late in February at the Dalai Lama’s temple in Dharamshala, where 100 young graduates of the Indian M3M Foundation were present, the Guardian reported.
At one point, a young boy requested permission to approach and embrace the Dalai Lama. Upon coming forward, the religious leader directed the child to kiss him on the cheek, saying, “First here.”
The boy complied, after which the Dalai Lama kissed him on the lips while retaining his hold on the child, remarking, “I think here also,” and then adding, “And suck my tongue” while sticking out his tongue.
The boy attempted to withdraw from the Dalai Lama. But he pulled him back for another hug, and the audience laughed along.
Numerous people have criticized the incident as “appalling,” “abusive,” and “thoroughly disturbing,” with the news footage of the event that Twitter users widely shared.

In response to the controversy, the Dalai Lama’s office claimed that the incident was a “playful interaction.” They also said that no malicious intent existed.

His staff also emphasized that the Dalai Lama has a long-standing commitment to the welfare of children. He has even spoken out against child abuse in the past.
The statement read, “A video recording has been circulating showing an encounter where a young boy requested permission to embrace his Holiness.”
“His Holiness extends his apologies to the boy, his family, and his many supporters worldwide for any distress his words may have caused.”
“In his interactions with people, including in public and front of the cameras. His Holiness frequently engages in teasing harmlessly and playfully. He is remorseful about this incident.”
