Shortly after his defeat in his debut boxing match against Tommy Fury, YouTuber Jake Paul made headlines again due to an incident involving Floyd Mayweather Jr. in Miami on Wednesday.

“I’m leaving the Miami Heat game. Floyd Mayweather and 50 dudes pull up out of nowhere, out of like some side alley, waiting for me outside of the stadium.”

“They’re like, ‘So, what’s up? Where’s all that talk now?’ I’m like, ‘First, what did I say to you, Floyd? I took your hat, and you’re still mad about it. Come on, bro.'”

“Then 50 dudes start surrounding me to try and jump me,” Paul continued. “I’m out that b***h! Floyd, if you want to run it individually, no problem, but I’m not dumb.

“I’m tough, and I don’t need to prove it. But I’m not f***Ing dumb. I won’t sit there and try to fight 50 dudes.”

He also took to Twitter to call out Mayweather, saying, “Floyd, if you want to fight 1-on-1, we can do that but don’t try to hop out of 3 cars 25 dudes deep tryna to jump me while I’m tryna enjoy my Wednesday night.”

Between Jake Paul and Floyd Mayweather

This is not the first altercation the pair has had, as they encountered each other in 2021 when Jake’s brother, Logan Paul, was scheduled to fight Mayweather Jr.

The event took place at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, and tensions were high as Mayweather, and Logan Paul faced off in front of the media.

However, things took a surprising turn when Jake Paul decided to get involved. The younger Paul chose to steal the show and make a name for himself. He taunted Mayweather and verbally confronted the boxing legend.

At first, Mayweather appeared uninterested in Jake Paul’s antics. But the situation escalated quickly as Paul’s younger brother continued to provoke him.

Mayweather, known for his quick reflexes and impeccable footwork, chased after Jake Paul, who was sprinting away from the legendary boxer.

The scene was like a high-speed chase as Jake Paul darted around the stadium, attempting to avoid Mayweather’s pursuit.

Despite the apparent danger of the situation, Jake Paul seemed to revel in the attention. His daring move drew the attention of the boxing world.

The heated exchange ended with Paul (Jake) swiping Mayweather’s hat from his head and shouting, “gotcha, hat.” Words the influencer eventually tattooed on himself later.

TMZ Sports reported that a source close to Mayweather said Paul “crossed the line” and that it “wasn’t about grabbing a hat.”

“This was about Jake’s comments to Floyd about Floyd’s deceased family member and other below-the-belt inappropriate behavior,” they told the outlet.
