Blake Lively starring in Colleen Hoover’s ‘It Ends with Us’ novel adaptation

Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni will lead in the film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s Bestselling book; It Ends With Us. The film is in progress under Sony Pictures and Wayfarer Studios.

Blake Lively is known for her work in the films “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” and “A Simple Favor.” She is  popular for her role in TV series “Gossip Girl.” Married to actor Ryan Reynolds, she shared 4 children with the actor and announced her pregnancy with their fourth child last September.

Furthermore, Coleen Hoover is one of the top-selling US authors. She wrote five of the top 10 bestselling novels last year, with more than 20 million copies sold. Hoover became a social media phenomenon after becoming a “BookTok” with over 2 billion views on TikTok.

It Ends With Us is the top-selling book in 2022 and has stayed on the New York Times bestseller list for over 90 weeks. The story plot is about Lily, who was freshly starting her life after college. She met Ryle, a guy she fell in love with, and soon they challenges in their relationship.

Moreover, Justin Baldoni, former “Jane the Virgin” star, is also the co-founder of Wayfarer Studios. He will direct and executive produce the film under his banner, which is also co-financing the film.

According to a press release as reported by Variety, Wayfarer Studios’ mission is to “create purpose-driven, multi-platform film and television productions that elevate and speak to the human spirit.” Also under Wayfarer Studios, he recently directed “Clouds” (2020) and “Five Feet Apart.” (2019)

In addition, Blake Lively, 35, is also co-producing alongside Hoover, Andrew Calof, and Steve Harowitz. Jamey Heath will produce on behalf of Wayfarer Studios, while Alex Saks will produce under Saks Picture Company.

Meanwhile, Lively hinted at this upcoming role when she posted her new daring color on Instagram on Thursday. She went for brunette tresses this time.
