Kylie Jenner renames son, and the internet is buzzing

/ 09:26 AM January 23, 2023

Kylie Jenner announced her son’s new name on Saturday after 11 months of keeping it from the public, and social media users reacted to her son’s name, “Aire.”

On February 2, Kylie Jenner and rapper Travis Scott welcomed their second child. The two shared his first photo via Instagram together with their firstborn, four-year-old Stormi. Although they first announced his name as Wolf, they believed it didn’t fit him, so they changed it to Aire.

In a recent post, the Kylie cosmetics owner shared the infant’s face. She also stated that his official name is Aire. This revelation earned numerous reactions online. Following her viral Kylie Jenner ramen recipe that kept social media abuzz, Jenner is once again on the headlines.

Journalist Antoinette Lattouf tweeted, ‘Umm should someone tell Kylie Jenner she renamed her son Aire which is a common Arabic expression for “my pen*s” or nah? Anyway, I doubt many people have noticed. After all, Arabic is only spoken by around 415 million people.’

One user even noted about renaming their son from Wolf. ‘That poor kid is going to be renamed again.’ In addition, Jenner also mentioned the name change in a James Corden interview in September, as Elle reported.

Jenner said, “We didn’t really have a name, I just thought it was going to come to us when we saw him, and it didn’t. ‘Twenty-four hours before we had to sign the birth certificate, or else they just register him without a name, and he doesn’t get a social security number.”

She continued, “I like the WW, so we just put Wolf Webster in that moment. Right after I signed the birth certificate, I was like, “What did I just do?” It’s a part of his story, but his name has changed.”

While others are after the meaning of Aire, others are curious about its pronunciation. A fan account who shared the baby’s photos said, “Do you think it’s air or airey?” Jenner commented and confirmed that the pronunciation is “AIR.”

Moreover, Jenner and Scott still co-parent their two offspring. Entertainment Tonight says they “have had an up and down relationship. And although they aren’t together right now, it doesn’t mean it’s over for good.”

The source also said, “Kylie and Travis live different lifestyles, and that’s been a big issue. With two kids, Kylie doesn’t go out too much. Travis, on the other hand, lives a life of late nights in the studio and going out with friends.”
