Partial remains of Alexis Gabe, a Filipino American woman missing since January, were positively identified by investigators and a forensic specialist.

The remains were found Thursday, Nov. 3, in an isolated area of Plymouth, a city of little more than 1,000 residents east of Sacramento. A resident alerted Amador County Sheriff’s Office to the discovery.

Authorities believe Alexis Gabe, 24, was murdered by her boyfriend, Marshall Curtis Jones, who was killed by police June 1 in Seattle after he attacked them with a knife when they tried to arrest him.

Police said Jones had been in the area where the remains were found, shortly after Gabe was reported missing. She was last seen on Jan. 26 at his home in Antioch, California.
