WATCH: California man who loves his beer so much makes his own beer ad

/ 06:13 PM April 11, 2018

One man who dearly loves his beers thought it would be great to make his own beer ad where he could be the star.

A carpenter from Santa Cruz, California, Randy Colpek, showed his affection to the KirkLand signature light beer by taking various shots of himself promoting the alcoholic drink. He uploaded the video way back in August 2017, but it was only last week when netizens took huge notice as the video went viral on Reddit.

In the video, Colpek could be seen doing endless takes of him bursting through the beer boxes. With each take, he changed his lines, from “Kirkland Light! Don’t drink water, fish piss in it,” to “The second most important tool in my tool box!”

In one portion of the video, he also said, “If you have a drinking problem, now you got a drinking solution.”

When a curious netizen on Reddit asked how many beers did Colpek drink to film all ads, he admitted that it took him “18 a day, 5 days a week.”

He added, “Someone somewhere in this thread did the math, I have no idea, 6 months to a year? I’m just guessing, I do know that there’s a limit of 100lbs a day at the recycling center and I exceeded that last time.”

Even though he expressed his allegiance to the beverage in an interview with The Huffington Post, he said that all cheap beer “is pretty much the same.” He added, “I don’t pick up my tools without a beer and I don’t pick up a beer without my tools.”  Katrina Hallare/JB
