Miss Argentina and Miss Puerto Rico have secretly tied the knot
A new couple has taken their relationship up a notch and chosen the road to marriage. Miss Argentina 2020, Mariana Varela, and Miss Puerto Rico 2020, Fabiola Valentin, revealed on Instagram that they secretly married.
After keeping their relationship private, the pageant winners posted that they tied the knot on Oct.28. The power couple wrote on both of their Instagram accounts, “After deciding to keep our relationship private, we opened the doors on a special day. 28/10/22.”
Fabiola Valentin and Mariana Varela first met at the 2020 Miss Grand International beauty pageant in Thailand. After the pageant, the two beauty queens made it to the top 10 and remained close on social media.

In addition, the fans never speculated there was something romantic going on. But the couple was already dating at the time. The 30-second reel showed their sweet and candid moments on a boat ride and at the beach.
Miss Argentina and Miss Puerto Rico Engagement
Moreover, the video clip also showed scenes from their engagement and proposal. There are red and white balloons, rose petals, and silver and gold balloons spelled out “Marry Me?” in the background. Also, in the video, Fabiola Valentin puts the engagement ring on Varela.
After the wedding, the couple displayed the same diamond rings. The video’s final scene showed Valera with a white jacket on while Fabiola Valentin wore a white blazer dress. They kissed in front of the Marriage Bureau courthouse in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The video has a caption that reads in Spanish, “After deciding to keep our relationship private, we opened the doors on a special day.”
Furthermore, Argentina legalized same-sex marriage in 2010. Puerto Rico followed suit in 2015. It followed after the US legalized the Supreme Court ruling.
Organizers of the 2020 Miss Grand International pageant sent their good wishes to the newly-wed. “Congratulations to both of you. MGIO always supports “LOVE” without boundaries.”
