Keanu Reeves Reveals Dream Marvel Role
Have you ever wondered when Keanu Reeves will appear in a Marvel film? He recently told Jimmy Kimmel about filling the shoes of his dream MCU character.
The Matrix star said his 10-year-old self would love to take the mantle of the Ghost Rider. Specifically, he said, “10-year-old Reeves would want to … I think he’d probably want to be Ghost Rider.”
People have been linking Reeves and Ghost Rider for many years. In 2019, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige said he was talking to Reeves “for almost every film we make.” However, the studio may want to act fast, or he might appear in a DC film first. In an interview with Extra, he also said he would want to play the Dark Knight, Batman, as well.
The Ghost Rider is an old Marvel comic about a stunt motorcyclist named Johnny Blaze. After a freak accident, he gained supernatural abilities, like having a flaming head. We already had two Ghost Rider films, but Nicolas Cage starred in them. Will we see a new adaptation with Keanu Reeves? We will just have to wait and see.
The recent projects of Keanu Reeves
Meanwhile, you could check the film star in one of his biggest projects. You will not see it in theaters or streaming services like Netflix – instead, you’ll have to purchase one of the most popular video games of the last year – Cyberpunk: 2077.
You can see him as an important non-playable character (NPC) in Cyberpunk: 2077. He plays a rebel rock star named Johnny Silverhand. The role echoes his role in The Matrix as Neo. A computer chip stores his consciousness, and your player character inserts it into his brain. The player’s main goal in the game is to figure out how to separate Johnny Silverhand from your mind. Meanwhile, he offers insights for every major story beat.
Reeves will also be making a return as the titular John Wick in the action-packed movies. Fortunately, we will see John Wick: Chapter 4 on March 24, 2023.
Director Chad Stahelski shared a few details with Collider. He confirmed that the last chapter will be “longer than the other three” but assured them that it wouldn’t be “that long.”
