Blink-182 to Reunite for World Tour and a New Song
For the first time since 2015, the trio of Travis Barker, Tom DeLonge, and Mark Hoppus will reunite again as Blink-182 for a worldwide tour. In addition, the band will also release a new single titled “Edging” on Friday. This comeback song set the first time the three had been in a recording studio after a decade.
In 1992, Hoppus and DeLonge formed the band Blink-182, while Barker joined them as a drummer in 1998. Blink-182 almost disbanded in 2005, and the members also started exploring other solo projects. In addition, DeLonge began his own band, Angels & Airwaves.
In 2019, Blink-182 regrouped again for a reunion tour and a new song before DeLonge left the band again in 2015. Aside from pursuing his solo music, DeLonge also focused on UFO studies. He even produced History Channel’s “Unidentified: Inside America’s UFO Investigation.” Furthermore, Alkaline Trio’s Matt Skiba replaced him in the band.

Blink-182 with Skiba released two albums, “California” in 2016 and “Nine” in 2019. Moreover, Barker has also gone solo while collaborating with other music artists. He also recorded songs with Young Thug and Avril Lavigne. Then, he eventually got engaged to Kourtney Kardashian and tied the knot with her.
Hoppus Diagnosis
In 2021, Hoppus revealed that he was diagnosed with lymphoma but has been cancer-free since then. Moreover, his diagnosis became the silver lining for the reconnection of Blink-182. Before his chemo started, the trio had been meeting together. Bassist Hoppus also said, “I keep writing music, and I’m open to whatever the next phase of Blink is… I’m also hopeful for the future. I’m just damn glad to be here.”
Furthermore, this year’s world tour reunion includes North America, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. It will start on March 2023 and until February 2024. The band’s North American stop will feature Turnstile, while Rise Against will join them in Australia. In addition, Wallows will perform with Blink-182 in Latin America and The Story So Far in Europe and UK.
