New hero revealed in ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ trailer
Marvel has released a new trailer for the highly-awaited sequel, “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” and fans are in for a surprise as this second trailer shows a glimpse of the new superhero.
Marvel seems to have a lot of surprises in store for all their viewers. With Disney’s movie announcements during their D23 Expo, the Black Panther sequel was also included on their list of upcoming TV series and movies.
In the new trailer, Marvel Studios didn’t fail to show familiar faces from the sequel. The 2018 Black Panther team who are against Namor is back. They are the ones that went against the leader of the underwater kingdom of Talocan.

In the trailer, M’Baku (Winston Duke) said, “His people do not call him general or king. They call him K’uk’ulkan: the feather serpent god. Killing him will risk eternal war.”
Aside from some familiar characters, the trailer clip also showed how the kingdom was crippled by the loss of their king, T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman). It also shows how Wakanda struggles with a new threat from under the surface.
Furthermore, this latest and longer trailer also showed what seemed like a funeral service for Wakanda’s lost leader. This takes place despite their new nemesis, Namor. His army dominates not only the underwater world but also the sky and the land.

At last, the trailer never misses showing a hint of the new Black Panther. After Boseman died in 2020 from colon cancer, there were speculations about his successor. The trailer showed Shuri (Leticia Wright), and viewers quickly concluded.
In addition, the last scenes of the trailer seemed to have confirmed this speculation. As it showed the new Wakanda hero, and it appears to be a woman. She wears a sleek and more lavish outfit.
Marvel also released an official poster for the Black Panther sequel. Shuri is center and upfront of the poster with Black Panther’s mask above her. The mystery new Wakanda defender clearly showed clues.
Furthermore, co-writer and director Ryan Coogler said, “I think this film has the fog of loss over it. And anamorphic lenses warp the image a little bit. What we were after was making it feel tactile, even though it felt like a dream.”
‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ is record-breaking, with over 172 million views within 24 hours after the first trailer was released. This is according to a HuffPost report. It is one of the biggest trailer launches on the Marvel Studios movies list. It will theaters this November 11.
