Chrissy Teigen and John Legend are expecting their fourth child
Chrissy Teigen is having baby number four with John Legend. On Aug. 3, she made an official announcement that she was pregnant. Her family with husband John Legend is getting bigger with the new baby on the way.
The Cravings cookbook author announced her pregnancy on Instagram. Along with the caption are photos of her baby bump. Chrissy, who has been through IVF treatments, was ecstatic with the pregnancy announcement.
She wrote on Instagram, “The last few years have been a blur of emotions, but joy has filled our home and hearts again. One billion shots later (in the leg lately, as you can see!), we have another on the way.”

In 2020, the couple’s hearts broke when Chrissy had a miscarriage. She loses the baby due to pregnancy complications. While the new baby on the way is excellent news, Chrissy still can’t get her mind off their baby loss. She said, “Every appointment, I’ve told myself, ok, if it’s healthy today, I’ll announce. But then I sigh of relief to hear a heartbeat and decide I’m still too nervous.”
Chrissy Teigen added, “I don’t think I’ll ever walk out of an appointment with more excitement than nerves, but so far, everything is perfect and beautiful, and I’m feeling hopeful and amazing. Ok, phew, it’s been very hard keeping this in for so long!”
John Legend and Chrissy have two kids, daughter Luna, 6, and son Miles, 4. The past few years haven’t been easy for them after the pregnancy loss.
The two shared their loss, “We are shocked, and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about. It’s the kind of pain we’ve never felt before. We could never stop the bleeding and give our baby the needed fluids, despite the bags and bags of blood transfusions. It just wasn’t enough.”

Chrissy wrote on Instagram in 2020, “We never decide on our babies’ names until the last possible moment after they’re born, just before we leave the hospital. But we, for some reason, had started to call this little guy in my belly Jack. So he will always be Jack to us.”
Chrissy’s Court star reported that she became pregnant with Jack naturally. While they have conceived their two other kids with the help of IVF treatments.
In 2020, she shared about their chances of having more kids. Chrissy also said that though she loves being pregnant, “I’m sad I never will be again.”
She added, “It’s frustrating. But I’m proud of where this journey took my body and mind in other ways. But I’m lucky to have two amazing little ones who are transforming into big little people more and more every single day.”
Furthermore, in February 2022, Chrissy made a revelation. She said that she had been “balls deep in another IVF cycle to save as many eggs as possibly can and hopefully make some strong, healthy embryos.”
The couple’s efforts to conceive another baby didn’t go to waste. With a new baby on the way, their loss of Jack will be compensated. This growing family will soon be welcoming a new addition!
