WALNUT CREEK, California – A 47-year-old Filipina was shot to death Thursday, April 27, by a man police said she had a “dating relationship” with.
Roselyn Policarpio, whose last addresses were in Martinez and Stockton, California, died from multiple gunshot wounds.

The suspect shot Policarpio several times as she walked near the Lindsey Wildlife Experience in Walnut Creek. Acquaintances described her as quiet and gentle.

The driver got out of the car, was held briefly and later released. Prokopowicz armed with a handgun, remained in the car. Police say he was high on drugs and threatened to harm himself as they tried to get him out of the car.
