Google News Lab has crunched the data to chart the most popular cuisines across the United States. Some of their conclusions? Detroit is the pizza capital of the U.S., while New Yorkers are crazy about their Chinese restaurants.
Published on Medium, the findings are based on aggregated, anonymized and private data from users who have opted in to Google Location History.
Overall, the two most popular cuisines across the U.S. are, not surprisingly, pizza and Mexican.
The data also revealed interesting regional trends when it comes to cuisine preferences.
