PENSACOLA, Florida – A vehicle crashed into “Freedom Food 2Go”Filipino restaurant in Pensacola Monday morning, April 18.

It happened around 10:30 a.m. at the business at 5042 Mobile Hwy. Authorities were investigating the cause.

Freedom Food 2 Go, a Filipino takeout restaurant on Mobile Highway opened in February 2021.

It is run by Philippine-born husband-and-wife team Ed Pecayo Jr. and Bheng Layos from a bare bones kitchen but was an immediate hit among locals.

The Pecayos also own Freedom Cargo Pensacola, which ships balikbayan boxes overseas to the Philippines.
