Lani Misalucha’s Oliver Tolentino U.S. tour dresses stolen in Vegas
All of the outfits that Hollywood fashion designer Oliver Tolentino created for singer Lani Misalucha for her ongoing U.S. tour were stolen last Sunday night, April 3 in Las Vegas.
The theft occurred as the artist was traveling back from a sold-out show at the Pala Casino Spa Resort in California.
Misalucha had just driven back to Las Vegas where she lives. Her entourage stopped to eat a late meal at a restaurant with the clothes in the car just outside. When they returned to the car they discovered the back window was smashed and the clothes gone. A few equipment items also were stolen.
Tolentino had created six outfits for the artist, including several embellished couture gowns.
Tolentino said, “I’m just glad that no one was hurt in the theft and that Lani and her husband, Noli, are safe. Clothes are replaceable.”
Misalucha has been touring the U.S. with Nonoy Zuniga, Louie Reyes and special guests in different cities such as Jed Madela, Timmy Pavino, and Garth Garcia.
Looking on the bright side, Tolentino noted, “At least Lani was able to use the clothes for all of the tour except for one remaining show. I watched her performance and she looked beautiful in the clothes and sang beautifully.” Tolentino is well known for coming to Pia Wurtzbach’s rescue with the famous red gown for Miss Universe.
Misalucha and Zuniga have just one more concert – this Saturday at Bally’s Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey. None of the designer’s clothes for Zuniga was part of the theft, but what was Misalucha going to wear for their last concert?
Tolentino learned of the singer’s predicament and came to the rescue. (Tolentino is well known for coming to Pia Wurtzbach’s aid with the famous red gown for Miss Universe.)
The designer immediately went to work to complete a new gown and to find some RTW dresses in his Beverly Hills boutique in time for Saturday’s show in New Jersey.
