WASHINGTON D.C. — A special virtual screening of the Filipino indie film “Ang Kababaihan ng Malolos” directed by award-winning directors Sari Dalena and Kiri Dalena will be held from March 20 until 26 to mark National Women’s Month.

The Philippine Embassy in Washington D.C. holds the annual celebration in accordance with Proclamation No. 227, which provides for the observance of the Month of March as the “Women’s Role in History Month.”

The film dramatizes events from 1888 to 1906 when the Women of Malolos worked for the liberation of the country and of Filipino women. It will have English subtitles.

Sentro Rizal Washington D.C. in partnership with EdukSine is facilitating the screening through EdukSine’s online video streaming platform (https://app.eduksine.com/). Interested viewers in the United States and the Caribbean are invited to register through https://forms.gle/gcP9eGLG5ypUuLtk9. Tickets are limited and will provided on a first come first serve basis.
