Last call for Jose Rizal Portraiture contest
New York based nonprofit Eagle Eye Charities Inc., in cooperation with Tagline 360 media, is offering art organizations a chance to reach artists in the Philippines to give them an opportunity to be featured in a New York gala and exhibition.
Artists competing in the Jose Rizal National Portraiture contest will be invited to become members of the nonprofit, which will be launched in the Philippines, with a mission focused on arts, culture and humanities.
With 30 days to the April 15 deadline of submission of entries, the final call is issued to Filipino contemporary artists to share their vision of the Philippines’ national hero, rendered on 24” x 18” oil on canvas.
Best of Ten entries will be selected by a panel; these artists will qualify in subsequent international exhibitions.
Top Three winners will receive official invitations for United States visa processing, round-trip tickets to New York City and paid accommodations.
First Place gets $1,000, Second Place gets $750 and Third Place gets $500. Winning entries will be owned by Eagle Eye Charities for exhibition at government and cultural offices based in USA.
Winners will also participate in a mural interaction depicting Filipino values espoused by Jose Rizal.
All contestants will be awarded Certificates of Participation. The Best of Ten contestants will be invited to a recognition in Manila in May 2022, where the Top Three winners will be officially announced.
For details of the competition, log in to the website EagleCharities.org and send your artist bio to [email protected] to confirm participation.
