2022 NFL Combine – Here are the Star Players
On Thursday, a group of wide receivers, quarterbacks, and tight ends took centerstage for the 2022 NFL Combine. The athletic prospects showcased their immense strength while doing the task of bench-pressing 225 pounds as many reps as they can. The NFL Combine took place inside Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis. Here’s what transpired on the field that day.
A favorite event of NFL fans didn’t disappoint at that time. During NFL combine week, the lifts and tasks given are what everybody is looking forward to.
All the receivers stepped up to speak in the microphone. Relaying a message to coaches and assembling scouts. One player said “I won’t be benching by choice. I’ll bench at my pro day.”

While others reasoned their injuries as to why they’ll skip benching, other healthy players chose not to bench on their own will. There are only two receivers in that particular group who agreed to bench for the NFL Combine. They are Northern Iowa’s Isaiah Weston and Tulsa’s Josh Johnson.
Tulsa’s wide receiver said, “Josh Johnson, University of Tulsa, and I will be benching.” He was able to pull 14 reps. Then Weston followed with a respectable 20 reps.
Meanwhile, the receivers showed their stamina straight in a 40-yard dash. Velus Jones’ 4.31 to nine is a no match. One for the books! While Tyquan Thornton made it at 4.28 and other wideouts ran below 4.40. Overall, this receiver group was the fastest in NFL combine history. Below are the other receivers’ records.

North Dakota State Christian Watson – 4.36 with 38.5 inches vertical and 11-foot four-inch broad jump.
Cincinnati Alec Pierce – 4.33 with 6-3 and 211 pounds, 40.5 inches vertical and 10 foot, 9-inch broad jump.
In the tight end group, the large tight end class debuted with an impressive tight end class. When we say large, it is comparably large to just normal humans. There were at least 6-6 on six tight ends and three were under 6-4. This year’s NFL Combine is really hits the records.
