Tom Brady to produce and star in movie

/ 09:30 AM February 24, 2022

Tom Brady embarks on his post-retirement moves. After retiring from his football career, he will now produce and star in a road trip comedy movie for Paramount and Endeavor Content. Tom Brady was out of the NFL fields for only 23 days now. While it’s just a very short time, Brady seems like he doesn’t like wasting his time.

With the movie title “80 for Brady’, director Kyle Marvin will direct it through 199 Productions. Hollywood legends will appear in Brady’s movie. To name a few, Jane Fonda, Rita Moreno, Lily Tomlin, and Sally Field will star in ’80 for Brady’.

The Hollywood Reporter announced that Brady will produce and star in this football-themed movie. With some hilarious scenes on the way, this road-trip comedy is something that Tom Brady’s fans will look forward to. Michael Covino and Kyle Marvin wrote the script for ’80 for Brady’. The script was based on a draft by Sarah Haskins and Emily Halpern. They’re the duo who also did the hit “Booksmart.”

Director Marvin who starred in a role for the upcoming Apple series ‘WeCrashed’ also co-wrote and appeared in the indie film The Climb.

Based on a true story, Brady (the movie) is about four friends who were avid New England Patriot fans. They will make a life-altering trip to see their favorite quarterback, Tom Brady in 2017 Super Bowl LI. The story revolves around how the quartet went about all the fun and chaos as they embark on the biggest sporting event in the country. The quartet will be played by Fonda, Tomlin, Moreno, and Field.

Tom Brady’s Role

While Brady isn’t exactly starring in the movie, he will have some appearances with a bit of an acting role. Tom Brady is producing the film via his production company, 199 productions. A production company that Brady started in early 2020. The name of the production itself is related to his history of being drafted on a 199th overall pick in 2000.

As reported, Brady was “deeply involved” in this film even from the start of productions. He came up with the movie’s idea with Donna Gigliotti. Donna is the one behind the productions of the hits “Shakespeare in Love” and “Silver Linings Playbook.” Both are Oscar-winning movies. Donna will co-produce with Endeavor Content.

Paramount movies had always been successful with comedies involving a group of women. Two breakthroughs are The First Wives Club and the Book Club.

New England Patriots fans are surely looking forward to reliving the memories of Super Bowl LI on the big screen. However, the Atlanta Falcons might not. As Falcons’ fans won’t enjoy reminiscing that nightmarish 28-3 halftime. Only to have their team crawl in the second half. Before eventually losing the game at 34-28.
