SpaceX launches 52 Starlink satellites into space successfully

/ 10:46 AM December 20, 2021

Two SpaceX rockets have transported 52 Starlink satellites into the Earth’s orbit. The independent space company launched it in Hawthorne, California. On the same day of launch, Elon Musk’s company also completed two rocket booster improvements.

While the two-level Falcon 9 rocket went off from Vandenberg Space Force Base, the Falcon’s first stage landed on a SpaceX drone ship in the ocean. It was its 11th successful launch and stage recovery.

SpaceX launch commentator Youmei Zhou said that the second stage pushed into the Earth’s orbit and the successful deployment of the satellites was confirmed.

In addition, CEO of Space Exploration Technologies Corp Elon Musk held a news conference back on April 5, 2011. He announced SpaceX’s Falcon Heavy rocket intending to complete missions at the moon and International Space Station. To have it ready for launch by the end of 2012.

Just last week Dec.18, SpaceX was able to send 52 new Starlink satellites into Earth’s orbit. The addition to the constellation formation of almost 2,000 satellites is a great innovation. The recent Falcon 9 addition sets the 29th and 30th SpaceX’s flights of rocket this year.

Starlink is a project that SpaceX has been building for years. It is a satellite-based global internet system that can supply internet access to certain areas without internet across the globe.

SpaceX Future Plans

Meanwhile, SpaceX’s Starlink rockets are now totaling more than 1,600. Although the space company’s broadband satellite targets are still short of their total goal. As reported by Space.com, Musk is looking to form a cube of satellites outside the planet. This internet satellite system will include a total of 42,000 satellites.

In short, SpaceX hasn’t reached even half of its actual broadband satellite goal. It would still take years before the mega constellation cube project can be completed. Looking at the bright side, the independent space agency growth has a great chance of making this innovation quicker to set up.

Aside from the recent launch, they will also be launching a Turkish communication satellite from Florida on Saturday. A great innovation for other countries’ broadband satellites. SpaceX allowed them in its Falcon9 launches in the previous months.
