Filipino center in Maui to host free vaccine and test clinics
MAUI, Hawaii – Binhi at Ani Filipino Community Center is hosting two clinics offering free vaccines and Covid-19 testing next week. Both clinics will be held at the Center, 780 Oneheʻe Ave. in Kahului, across from Maui Waena Intermediate School.
- The first clinic, Bakuna at Binhi at Ani, will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 26 from 5 to 8 p.m.
- The second clinic will be held on Saturday, Oct. 30 from 8 to 11 a.m.
All three vaccines (Johnson & Johnson, Moderna and Pfizer) will be offered at each clinic, along with a Moderna booster shot. The first 100 to be vaccinated at each clinic will receive a free mini bento and a bottle of water.
Also, free COVID-19 tests will be administered at each clinic. No insurance is required but those participating are asked to bring their ID and insurance card if they can.
“There is a continuing need for our community to be vaccinated and there’s a lot of misinformation,” said Melen Agcolicol, president of Binhi at Ani. “We need to get vaccinated to protect our families, so we can see our friends again and get back to real life.”
For both clinics, registration is not required but highly recommended.
