San Diego Fil-Am cultural celebration, Oct. 9

SAN DIEGO, California – The Filipino American Cultural Organization (FACO) and the Oceanside Public Library will host the 20th Annual Filipino Cultural Celebration on Saturday, Oct. 9, in the Oceanside Civic Center Plaza downtown from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The Oceanside Public Library is at 330 N. Coast Highway in the Oceanside CA Cultural District, Event admission is free and open to the public.
The community event returns with a day full of Philippine folk dancing and music, colorful costumes, special performances from local Filipino American talents, and Filipino cuisine. A variety of vendors offering products and services will be in the Plaza area. The FACO Cultural Dance Group will perform dances from Luzon, Mindanao, and the Visayan Islands. Scholarships will be awarded to deserving Filipino-American high school seniors in North San Diego County and in the Philippines.
