Tucking into a breakfast at Tiffany’s is now possible, with the opening of a new café at the jeweler’s flagship store on Fifth Avenue in New York.

Frankly, it’s surprising that the retailer didn’t think to open a restaurant earlier. More than 50 years after Audrey Hepburn brought Truman Capote’s novel to the big screen and became a cinematic icon, Tiffany has unveiled its first ever dining concept, The Blue Box Café.

Instead of standing by the storefront with a coffee in one hand and Danish in the other à la Holly Golightly, visitors will now be able to sit down to a fancy meal using Tiffany china and silverware.

With a color palette dominated by the iconic “Tiffany blue,” there’s no mistaking the café’s brand identity.

Located on the fourth floor of the flagship store, the café seems made for Instagram with photogenic finishes of herringbone marble, amazonite stone, and a trio of dramatic 15-foot light chains created by Paris-based design duo Ronon and Erwan Bouroullec.

The inaugural menu, meanwhile, obtained by Eater.com, skews heavily towards Millennial palates, the brand’s primary target market, with breakfast items like avocado toast, topped with radish, nasturtium, sorrel, sunflower seeds and sprouts, and croissant served with Nutella, honey butter, and winter fruit preserves.

Likewise, expect to see Instagram feeds to be overrun by photos of eggs topped with shaved truffles, kunik cheese and smoked bacon with the hasthtag #breakfastattiffanys.

Lunch options include a chicken club sandwich (minus the bacon), lobster salad and vegan roasted cauliflower, pickled mushroom and truffle vinaigrette dish.

While the menu will change seasonally, the overall theme will be American classics made with regionally sourced ingredients.

Along with breakfast and lunch menus, the café will also serve high tea. Prices start at $29.

The café will be housed on the same floor as the new home and accessories collection which opened earlier this month.

The Blue Box Café opens to the public Nov. 10 and will operate during regular store hours. JB
