Online PG&E Taglish workshop on ‘saving money with the right rate plan’
PG&E is partnering with Philippine American Press Club USA in an outreach workshop for Northern California Filipino American communities regarding “Saving Money with the Right Plan”/Pagtipid sa Koryente sa Tamang Plano ng Paggamit.”
The Zoom workshop in Taglish (Tagalog/English) is scheduled for Thursday, July 29 at 2-3pm. No registration is required.
As part of California’s ongoing commitment to clean energy, many electric customers will move to the Time-of-Use rate(TOU) plan. The workshop will further explain the savings value of recommended home appliance use during off-peak hours (9 p.m. to 4 p.m.) instead of peak hours (4 p.m. to 9 p.m.) when rates are higher.
Rates will be based on this pattern every day including weekends and holidays. Customers are encouraged to shift some energy use to times when rates are lower, demand is lower and renewable resources, like solar and wind power, are most plentiful. However, customers can still choose a rate plan that is best for their household. Do join the workshop
