/ 10:25 AM May 13, 2021

T

enor Allan Palacios Chan on May 14, at 6:00 EDT on Zoom, will introduce the IN Series audience to “Kundiman,” traditional Filipino art song, in collaboration with dancer Lesley Garrison and choreographer Billy Smith, both of the Mark Morris Dance Group, and pianist and cinematographer Emily Mason.

In celebration of Asian American Pacific Island Heritage Month, the event premieres the collaborative video on Nicanor Abelardo’s “Mutya ng Pasig,” and includes a blessing from a modern “Babaylan” (a healer with the gift of vision), and a conversation with the artists.
