Police serve search warrant at missing Fil-Am mother’s home
CHULA VISTA, California — Police served a search warrant at the home of Maya Millete, 39, a Filipino American mother of three who has been missing for two weeks.
Authorities said the search warrant is for seeking evidence and clues regarding Millete’s whereabouts.
“The Chula Vista Police Department’s focus will continue to be locating May safe and in good health,” authorities said.
Millete was last seen at her Chula Vista home on Jan. 7, her family said, and was reported missing on Jan. 10. Millete works as a contract specialist for Naval Base San Diego.
Earlier this month, police interviewed her husband, Larry Millete, who said he last saw her at home on January 7. Authorities had said the couple had marital problems and that they had no leads or any indication of foul play.
The couple are high school sweethearts, have been married for 21 years and have three children, ages 4, 9, and 11. They reportedly had an argument before Maya’s disappearance. Police say Larry Millete has been cooperative with the investigation.
