‘Tawag ng Tawanan’ US tour promises laugh-filled September

NEW YORK CITY—Comedy, music and dance—it’s the complete entertainment package of “Tawag ng Tawanan.””Tawag ng Tawanan” aims to make the audience forget all their woes, at least for two to three hours.
Headlining the show is Vhong Navarro, a Filipino comedian, actor, dancer, singer and commercial endorser who is currently a host on ABS-CBN’s “It’s Showtime.” He also appears on the Sunday variety show “ASAP,” both seen worldwide via The Filipino Channel.
Co-headlining is Karylle Padilla, considered among the OPM showbiz royalty in the Philippines. She is a world-class, multi-awarded singer, songwriter, actress, dancer, TV host, model, as well as a critically acclaimed musical theater performer and entrepreneur. The daughter of famous showbiz personality Zsa Zsa Padilla has definitely left no stone unturned in the Philippine entertainment industry.
Laughs in the show are guaranteed by the riotous crazy duo, standup comedians Pepay and Negi, who are both ABS-CBN talents. Negi is currently Vice Ganda’s sidekick on the show “Gandang Gabi Vice.” Joining them in the show is Alex Diaz, ABS-CBN Star Magic 2013 Scottish-Filipino talent and Awit Award nominee for Best R&B Recording Artist and Best Performer.
Supporting cast are NoLo of “Pusong Ligaw” fame, together with some of New York’s finest local artists Rasmin Diaz, Michelle Michelle, Excelsa de Jesus, Chin Gomez, Jerome Robielos and Melody Ursua.
“Tawag ng Tawanan” starts 3 p.m. on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at BMCC’s TriBeCa Performing Arts Center at 199 Chambers Street in downtown Manhattan.
