Philippine Fest (Piyesta Pinoy) ‘17 set in Bolingbrook, Illinois
CHICAGO — Filipino Americans in the Midwest and the general public are invited to Philippine Fest 2017 in Bolingbrook, Illinois, on Saturday, June 10 at 11:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. Admission is FREE.
The festivities will commence with a Philippine parade starting at 11:30 a.m. and formal opening program at 1 pm. The celebration will run until 10:00 p.m.
This is the fourth year of celebration of Philippine Independence Day at the Philippine Fest in Bolingbrook. The Consulate General of the Philippines, the Philippine American Cultural Foundation (PACF) and The Filipino Channel (TFC) are hosting the event.
A coalition of dancers, vocal performers, musicians, artists, and volunteers from various Filipino American organizations and performing art groups will present a variety of performances to showcase Philippine culture and traditions.
The highlight of the event will be the participation of the multi-talented Filipino Actor Jericho Rosales under the sponsorship of The Filipino Channel (TFC).
There will be booths and display tables including participation from food, arts and craft vendors, corporate sponsors and non-profit organizations. The complete address for the event is as follows:
