San Mateo USN sailor serving on missile cruiser in S. China Sea

SOUTH CHINA SEA — Boatswain’s Mate 3rd Class Xandrix Gacusan from San Mateo, California, monitored a Voyage Management System for safety and navigation on the bridge of the Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Antietam (CG 54) during a replenishment-at-sea with the underway replenishment oiler USNS John Ericsson (T-AO-194).

Antietam is forward deployed to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations in support of security and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
