Most Anticipated 2020 Convertibles You Don’t Want to Miss

07:38 AM September 04, 2019

If you’ve never driven a convertible before, you can never understand the pride of those of us that do. I still remember the first time I drove a 2020 convertible; It felt just right. Funny enough, the car wasn’t mine. It was my friends. I drove the gang to a Friday night party. We commanded so much attention; everyone wanted to meet us.

Aside from SUVs, many car brands have their convertible models, and this is because there are many lovers of convertibles around the world.

We’ve had many models of convertibles even up until2019, and there are more to be expected. In this article, our discussion will be centered on the anticipated 2020 convertibles, focusing on the similarities and differences in each brand.

One reality about the performance of cars is that a whole lot of the performance of the vehicle is dependent on the weight.

Apart from the natural reduction of weight that convertibles ensured via the easy removal of their roofs, the bodies of most of the cars to be discussed are made from carbon fiber which reduces the weight of the vehicle and makes the car attain its performance goal easily.

2020 Convertible BMW 4 series

Have you heard of the 2020 model of the BMW 4 series? It’s just amazing.

The new four series convertible was spied in testing camouflage and although many details are not available about this new car the little information we do have is jaw-breaking.

It is predicted that the four series convertible will be out early 2020.

The 2020 BMW 4 series has a different set with 2.0 and 3.0-liter turbo inline-4 gas. It also has 8-speed automatic transmission.

There is the 430i convertible, 430i *Drive convertible and 440i *Drive convertible. From a very reliable source, the price range will be from $53,100 – $62,150.

It is just a little above the 2019 model.

2020 Convertible Chevrolet Corvette

Now, let’s talk about the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette.

It’s been almost two months now since some people have spotted the new model Chevrolet and people here and there are asking many questions about this model.

First, I will tell you that the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette is a supercar. There is an upgrade to its engine cover and its rear window.

There is so much convenience that will come with the Chevrolet convertible in unlatching the roof panel and lifting it off the car before setting it down because the owner will not need any extra help in setting it down as it can be done just with the C8’s lids. So much still left unknown about the incoming Corvette but you can be sure to be awed.

It seems as though the body of the car is also made of carbon fibers. As earlier said, carbon fibers reduce the weight of cars making the car function better.

There was an unveiling event about a month ago where some of the specs were demonstrated, few though. It appears that Chevrolet is switching from the C7’s cloth-top to a folding Hardtop like those used by mid-engine sports cars.

2020 Convertible BMW M8

After many leaks and several spy videos flocking across the internet, BMW released the 2020 BMW M8 which will succeed in the previous model (M6) and also make it to the top of the company’s performance list.

Though it is available both as a convertible and a coupe, the convertible version is extraordinary.

M8 maintains some of the specs of M5 like twin-turbo V-8 and the all-wheel-drive powertrain though accompanied by many other improvements.

Both the M8 coupe and convertible have bases that produce up to 600 horsepower and 550+ lb-ft of torque.

There was an extraordinary distinction between the coupe and the convertible in that the coupe can go 0-60 mph in 3.1 seconds while the convertible will do it in 3.2 seconds.

So much to be said about the newly designed M8. Just like the M5, there are three selectable all-wheel-drive systems in the M8 and they include a default 4WD setting used for normal driving, a 4WD sport setting that sends more power to the rear wheels and 2WD which only comes if the stability control is off. There’s an excellent overhauling done on this car, making it withstand more loads with things like forged links, etc.

2020 Convertible Chevrolet Camaro

The design of the 2020 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 is still the best I’ve seen thus far.

Though it is tagged the simplest product in the Camaro catalog, it’s one of ZL1’s best products. This assertion is because of its single-engine choice, two transmissions, and just one option package.

After analyzing it, I discovered that these specs are far less complicated than the rest of the Camaro line.

Camaro’s engine is a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 with 650 horsepower and 650 Lb-ft of torque. There is also a piece of optional standard safety equipment that comes with it; it’s your choice.

The car also comes with forwarding collision warnings, blind-spot monitors, rear pack assist, lane change assist and a rearview camera.

Though the Camaro convertible is part of the ZL1 family, people interested in the Camaro dependable performance will most likely be leaning towards the coupe with a 1LE package because the Camaro convertible misses out on the 1LE option package, which the coupe version added. The performance package includes upgraded brakes, suspensions, unique wheels, and a carbon-fiber body.

2020 Convertible Audi R8

Do we have any Audi lovers here? The new Audi R8 is just as thrilling while you drive it.

The design is “wow” for both its exterior and interior.

There is this sports appeal touch it exudes all over. Its standard virtual cockpit is entirely digital, with about 12.3-inch instrument display which allows the driver to edit and change information like navigation, audio, etc.

It’s amazing because it has an option for sports mode and also displays a central tachometer and performance statistics.

Audi R8 makes it possible to connect the car to your world with the invention of Audi connect.

Audi connect is an intuitive system that integrates essential and sought-after information into the Audi digital space.

Some of the information it integrates includes weather conditions, Google Earth and traffic information.

You get a 6-month trial for Audi to connect and Wi-Fi hotspot for passengers.

2020 Audi R8 Spyder is one of the fastest cars Audi has ever made. It has this sports character, especially in its exterior.

It also has R8 badging in High-gloss Black, uncolored headlights and horizontal slits in the hood that are reminiscent of the Audi Sport Quattro brand icon.

All these complement the acoustic roof with decreases or increases by 20 seconds, the speed of the car, which by default is 31 mph.

The last car to be anticipated is the 2020 mini. This car will be the best for simple people and those who cannot afford expensive convertibles.

The price of the convertible of this model starts as low as $23,400. It is a very reasonable price. You can decide on having a two-door or choose the four-door, instead.

This model has little improvement to its 2019 variant, especially with its newly standard LED headlights and foglights.

The car battery has a larger capacity of about 9.6 kWh. The battery capacity increases the electric-only range by about 26 km.
There are many cars you can watch out for, and as you can see, most will be on sale in early 2020. So, begin to save for your car of choice.
