PH food ingredient exporters to be at nat’l restaurant show in Chicago

WASHINGTON, DC — Several Philippine food exporting companies are coming to Chicago on May 20-23 to showcase nutritious, great tasting and exotic ingredients to restaurant, foodservice and hospitality industry buyers at the National Restaurant Association (NRA) Show 2017.

The Philippine Department of Agriculture is hosting these small- and medium- scale exporters of top quality food ingredients at the McCormick Place’s Lakeside Center Booth 8427.

This will be the Philippines’ maiden participation in the NRA Show, according to Dr. Josyline Javelosa, the Philippine Agriculture Attaché in the United States. The event expects over 45,000 food service buyers with big budgets and appetites to purchase products and services that can push their operations over the top.

The food products to be showcased will include a variety of Philippine-made ingredients that can flavorfully and nutritiously perk up meals in the United States and worldwide.

These include base ingredients, tropical syrups, snacks and refreshments, paste and sauces, spice mixes, marinades, single-origin 100% Pure Unsweetened Chocolate, 65% dark chocolate and roasted cacao nibs, frozen fruits/vegetables, fruit preserves/juices, marine (dried/smoked); native delicacies; chips (cassava, camote, banana), fruit juices and concentrates (pure buco, guyabano, mango, calamansi),  concentrate, mini pies (buco, macapuno, ube), chichacorn, sugarcane wine (Basi), Ilocos vinegar, sugarcane vinegar, organic moringa powder, organic moringa flakes, organic moringa tea, organic moringa capsule, organic moringa seed oil, coconut sugar, coconut oil;  organic coconut spread, organic coconut vinegar, organic amino sauce, organic coconut chips, coconut ginger brew, chili and assorted pili nut products.
