We live in a day and age where everything is supposed to be bigger and better, after all this is America.  However, in a day and age where this is going on there are still people out there, living in bigger cities or just not needing as large of a car, this article is for you.  There are many benefits of a compact car such as improved fuel economy, better gas mileage than larger vehicles on average, often cost less than larger vehicles, easier to park and maneuver, provide a fun and different driving experience, popularity for resale and compact cars sometimes are more reliable because they are more fundamental and mostly used worldwide.  We’ll look at the best compact cars and the best new small cars.

To start things off, we’ve chosen the 2019 Honda Civic, a sedan like no other as our first of the best compact cars.  With features such as connected audio, some of the best fuel economy in the class rated 38mpg Highway and 28 Mpg city, how could you not choose this car?  It received a best buy from Kelly blue book in 2019, was one of the car and drivers top cars for 2019 and 2019 Edmunds most wanted buyers list. Sometimes Soul comes in different shapes and sizes; this small car has everything you could want and more, second on our list of the best compact cars.  Some of the notable features include a 1.6L I4 GDI engine with 130hp, rated at 24/30/27 mpg. Inside the vehicle has Bluetooth® Wireless Technology and a Rear-Camera Display.  You won’t have to worry about much as it has Auto Light Control. An estimated price of 17,495 for the base model. For the true enthusiast, there are sportier options out there but there’s indeed no doubt that it holds its own when it comes to acceleration and handling.  It has a combined fuel economy of 31mph which is respectable for a car of this size.
