Making the most of every lap, Filipino American racer Bianca Bustamante powered through the Berlin Rookie Test in the all-new Formula E Gen3 Evo car.
The 20-year-old expressed gratitude after completing the full-day test which marked another milestone in her growing racing career.
In an Instagram post, Bustamante wrote, “Million emotions in one post and 3 paragraphs can’t thank enough @fiaformulae and @kiroraceco for giving me such an opportunity.”
She was one of the select young drivers invited to experience Formula E’s cutting-edge machinery, known for its futuristic design and sustainable technology.

The rookie test, held at the Tempelhof Airport street circuit, gave Bustamante six hours of track time to work through the team’s detailed testing program. She shared that her pace saw noticeable improvement each session as she gained confidence, especially during energy push laps.
Despite walking away with a mix of emotions, Bustamante remained positive. She admitted to feeling a bit emotional knowing she couldn’t fully maximize her performance on fresh tires.

“Walking away a bit teary ngl knowing that I didn’t make the best use of my new tires and was unable to put it all together knowing our pace had so much potential,” she wrote. However, she emphasized being proud of her progress and overall performance, calling the experience “solid.”
What made the day even more special was the opportunity to share the track with elite drivers from F1, F2 and F3. Their presence, she said, pushed her to dig deeper and strive for more. “Their pace really pushed me to keep digging and looking for more,” she added.
Now back in the UK, Bustamante is turning her focus to the upcoming GB3 Championship round. Still, the Berlin test serves as a strong reminder of how far she’s come and how far she’s still aiming to go.
