Celebrities slam ICE raids, use of force against LA protesters

More celebrities are stepping forward to express outrage over the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids and the use of military force in response to the anti-ICE protests in Los Angeles.
What began as local resistance has now garnered widespread attention, amplified by voices from the entertainment world.
Singer Gracie Abrams recently shared a black-and-white graphic on her Instagram Stories that read, “ICE OUT OF NEW YORK! STOP THE DEPORTATIONS,” promoting a protest at Foley Square on June 10.
Her post echoed a wave of online activism from stars denouncing aggressive immigration policies and the militarized response to public dissent.

Filipino American rapper and Tiny Desk winner Ruby Ibarra shared a note, “Still f** ICE” and a story “From Los Angeles to Gaza, our shared humanity is sacred.”
The brother of Billie Eilish, singer-songwriter Finneas, who attended a peaceful protest in downtown Los Angeles, shared his experience of being teargassed.
“F** ICE. Tear gassed almost immediately at the very peaceful protest downtown – they’re inciting this,” he wrote in an Instagram Story.
Tyler, the Creator also posted an Instagram story, writing “F** Ice.”
Meanwhile, Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong posted a video showing escalating confrontations between protesters and law enforcement, underscoring the post with the band’s track “Fuck Off” and an emoji-laced caption symbolizing defiance.
Rob Schneider and Mark Ruffalo were among the first celebrities to condemn the federal actions.

Eva Longoria and Chrissy Teigen used their social media platforms to call out the administration’s tactics.
Longoria reposted California Governor Gavin Newsom’s tweet criticizing Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, who warned that “If violence continues, active duty Marines at Camp Pendleton will also be mobilized — they are on high alert.”
In an Instagram post, she also called the decision to use the Marines against protesters as “un-American.”
Teigen reshared posts that criticized the use of military force in response to civilian demonstrations.
Director Ava DuVernay wrote in an Instagram post: “I’m witnessing tear gas and non-lethal rounds being unleashed on peaceful protesters in DTLA. People of all ages and stripes from all over the city, raising their voices. And being treated worse than January 6 terrorists.”
