Bianca Bustamante named Laureus ambassador, sets sights on GB3 Championship

Filipino American racing driver Bianca Bustamante has been named a Laureus ambassador, joining a prestigious group of athletes dedicated to using sports as a force for good.
In a recent Instagram video, Bustamante documented her visit to the Laureus-supported Reaching Higher program, where she interacted with young participants whose lives are being transformed through the initiative.
Laureus welcomed her into the fold, expressing their excitement about the partnership: “We’re proud to announce racing driver Bianca Bustamante as our new Laureus Ambassador. We’re delighted that Bianca is joining Laureus and looking forward to sharing the inspirational power of sport together.”

Having established herself as a strong advocate for sports and youth empowerment, the 19-year-old racer emphasized its life-changing impact. “I’ve always been an advocate for sport because it teaches kids so many values and it also points them in the right direction in life,” she shared.
In 2024, Bustamante held a “Race to Inspire” with an objective to ignite passion for motorsport in the Philippines.
Bustamante has completed her two-season stint in F1 Academy, where she consistently finished seventh overall and made history as the first Filipina to compete in the series.
With her tenure under McLaren’s driver development program now behind her, she is shifting focus to an exciting new challenge: competing in the 2025 GB3 Championship with Elite Motorsport.
With Round 1 set for April at Silverstone Circuit, Bustamante has been hard at work preparing for the season ahead.
After a recent testing session, she reflected on her progress, writing on Instagram: “Had a great time shaking down the second brand new GB3 car this Snetterton Test!! Lots of developments and steps taken forward, keeping our head down and working hard for the next one. On track again next week, season opener is around the corner.”

Beyond the racetrack, Bustamante’s growing influence now extends to the travel industry. As a frequent traveler navigating international competitions, she has been named the latest Asia Pacific brand advocate for Priority Pass, a company known for providing exclusive airport lounge access and premium travel benefits.
